This year I was commissioned by Lallier to create a series of pieces interpreting their champagne and all that goes into making it - the land, the vines, the people and the craft. I was invited to meet their cellar master Dominique Demarville to learn about their creative process, and to learn about Dominique’s philosophy of ‘nature in motion’ - reflecting the specific characteristics of the year’s harvest in the champagne itself. I returned to my studio to start exploring these ideas in clay. The result is my Reflexions Diptych R21. I also created a series of smaller porcelain bowls which explore these ideas on the form of the vessel. These pieces are available to buy, and can be made in both the natural off-white of porcelain or my new peachy rose colour (below). Please click here to enquire about buying a piece.
